Community Guidelines

Real people, real local businesses

• Use your real name and your own photo on your profile.
• Profiles are for people who live or work in our area (Central and South Florida, including Tampa Bay and from Orlando to the Keys); business pages and online shops are for businesses based here.
• Describe what you do accurately. Don't claim licenses, credentials or awards you don't have.

Useful, original articles

• Write from your own experience: practical tips, common mistakes, how your trade works.
• No keyword-stuffed SEO posts, copied or spun text, or articles written mainly to place links.
• No paid backlinks or sponsored posts presented as your own advice.

Not allowed anywhere

• Casinos and gambling, CBD and cannabis products, adult content.
• Spam, scams, misleading offers or fake reviews.
• Harassment, hate, threats, or sharing someone else's private information.
• Content you don't have the right to share, including other people's photos.

Updates and referral requests

• Share real projects, useful tips and genuine questions. Tag a business only if you work there.
• Promotion is fine in moderation; repeated ads, copied posts or posting the same thing over and over is not.
• Only post photos you have the right to share. New members' updates are reviewed first and can't include links.
• When you answer a referral request, recommend people you actually know and say why.

Local events

• Post real events that take place in our area, with an accurate date, time and place.
• If an event is canceled or changes, delete or repost it. Events are public and leave the site 24 hours after they end.

Online shops

• List only a store you own or run, based in our area. Don't claim a location you can't prove.
• Show real products you actually sell, with prices, and link each one to its page on your own store.
• Not allowed in shops: anything on the "Not allowed anywhere" list, plus weapons and ammunition, prescription drugs, tobacco and vaping products, counterfeit or stolen goods, and anything illegal to sell in Florida.

Comments

• Be helpful and respectful, and stay on topic.
• New members' comments are reviewed before they appear and can't include links.

Recommendations

• Only recommend people you actually know professionally, and choose the honest basis: worked together, referred customers, hired their services or another professional relationship.
• Never trade recommendations or write them in exchange for anything.

Connections

• Connect with people you have a real professional reason to know, and add a short note.
• Don't use connection requests to sell. Requests are limited per day, and members can ignore or block you without you being told.

How we enforce these rules

• Submissions that don't follow these guidelines are sent back with a reason or rejected.
• Reported content may be hidden. Upheld reports remove trusted status.
• Accounts that repeatedly or seriously break the rules are suspended; their content disappears from the site.
• A shop that turns out not to be based in our area is removed.

Trusted members (at least 3 approved items, a month on the network and no upheld reports) can publish updates, events, comments and bio edits without waiting; everything they post can still be reported.
